Jekyll + Hyde Movie Review
One of the first films that have been funded by urbanchiller® Films is a dark twist on the Robert Louis Stevenson tale of science gone wrong. Everyone has a monster within as the lead character and pre-med student finds out while experimenting with a designer party drug.
Two medical students, Jay and Mary, begin experimenting with a party drug that starts to change their desires and personalities. Jay keeps altering and experimenting with the drug completely unaware of the effect it has had on his own life. He documents his spiralling descent into chemically induced madness with bizarre video diaries.
Not since 'Henry: Portait of a Serial Killer', do we find a character so unrepentant and politely aware of his violent tendencies. He politely apologizes to a victim that he is sorry he has to kill her just as one might cut someone off in trafic with a feeble wave. Bryan Fisher is quite effective as young man who slowly discovers what he has become and embraces the rush of sex, violence, and madness quite easily.
A highly recommended film for those who are fans of science gone wrong and psychological thrillers.
